Instructions
The ring originated in Turkey, and is popular throughout the world. The number of loops or bands ranges from 2 to 24.
The basic ring has 4 loops, all quite different. When you learn to put the basic ring together, you can work any of these rings First, you must be able to identify and recognize each band, and learn the order for putting them together.
1- Double-notched band: this is a wide "V" shaped piece with 2 shallow notches on each side of the point at the base of the "V"
2 - Single-notched band: this is similar to loop No. 1 except that there is a single deeper notch on each side of the "V" point.
3 - Zigzag band:  this band forms a  zigzag line consisting  of 2 short flat section  alternating with 3  notches.
4 - Flat top band:  this easily recognized  band has a long flat  section with a notch at each end.

Learn to recognize the shape and number of each band. It is helpful to think of bands I and 2 as a unit, and 3 and 4 as another unit; to locate any band quickly, keep in mind that when you hold band 1, band 2 will be hanging down; hold band 2 and band 1 will be the bottom band. In the same way, when you hold band 3, band 4 is at the bottom; hold band 4, and band 3 is suspended at the bottom, Remember that the band description order is also the order for fitting them together.

Now let's work your puzzle ring:
Shake the bands to separate them, hold band 1 between thumb and forefinger of left hand so that the "V" point is towards your left palm.

Bring band 2 up from the bottom with your right hand and place it against band 1 so that the space between the two bands forms a diamond shape. Now bands 3 and 4 are hanging down at the bottom. Before continuing, check to be sure band 3 is next to your left forefinger. If not change the position of bands 3 and 4 by flipping one of them up and over the diamond shape formed by bands 1 and 2.

Hold band 3 and place its center notch across the center bottom of bands 1 and 2, and slip the end of your ring finger of your left hand into it, to hold it in position.
Place band 4 so the flat, smooth part of it is across band 3. Now as you look down through the diamond space formed by bands 1 and 2, you see that bands 3 and 4 form an 8.

Hold bands 3 and 4 between the thumb and forefinger of your right hand and let bands 1 and 2 hang down free and transfer the ring to your left hand again.

Now holding band 2, work it around so that the notched section is intertwined with the-figure 8 of bands 3 and 4. at the same time easing your hold on bands 3 and 4 enough to allow this.

Repeat with band 1. Manipulate these bands so that band 1 is on top of band 2 within the figure 8, then ease them gently downward so they drop into position, and your PUZZLE RING is together.

In order to put together 8 and 12 band rings first put together matching bands and follow the same procedure.
