The PICS MPS Workbench is your answer!

The PICS MPS Workbench will allow your Master Schedulers to quickly create a valid Production Schedule and obtain answers concerning sales order or customer schedule demand, inventory, gross requirements, forecast quantities, MRP Details and Action Messages and more all from a single screen! The MPS Workbench will also allow you utilize QAD Enterprise Applications ( MFG/PRO )’s Resource Planning Module and will graphically display a Capacity Plan as you create your production schedule..

  • Average Daily Demand calculation and Safety Time allows you to establish target production and inventory quantity goals and manage those using visual alerts and messages.

  • User defined sort functionality allows you to group items for a custom view. Group items by tool, color, profile, left hand and right hand parts, etc.

  • Dynamic Recalculate functionality allows you to perform true ‘what if’ analysis.

  • Real time updates to QAD Enterprise Applications ( MFG/PRO ) with full error checking.

  • Backward compatible from eB2.1 to virtually all QAD Enterprise Applications ( MFG/PRO ) Releases and User Interfaces

PICS Workbench

Default view: Item summary information is displayed. The user can selective expand the display for a single item to view the schedule detail or expand or collapse all items. The Capacity frame displays the default resource for the production line.

In this view the items in the workbench have been expanded. This displays the item schedule details. Also in this view we have contracted the capacity frame to show just the resource utilization percentage. This allows us to maximize the space for maintaining the schedule details.

In this view we used the sales order drill down link on 10/12/05 to see what made up the sales order quantity of 70 pieces. The pop-up window tells us there are 2 sales orders for different customers due that day.

In this view we used the MRP detail drill down link on 10/12/05 to see more information about the item requirements starting on that date. The pop-up window displays the standard QAD Enterprise Applications ( MFG/PRO ) MRP Detail Inquiry.

In this view we are using the Sort Maintenance functionality. The workbench allows the user to define an unlimited number of custom sorts per production line and apply these sorts in the workbench filter frame.
