Pentair Pool Products is a leading manufacturer of pool and spa equipment used in residential and commercial pools and spas, water parks, and commercial aquariums.

When Pentair looked to upgrade their 40 gigabyte database from QAD Enterprise Applications ( MFG/PRO ) version 9.0 to eB2 and Progress version 8 to version 9 with minimal downtime they needed a partner with years of application experience coupled with highly technical abilities. With PICS as their implementation partner, Pentair was able to convert this massive amount of data in three production databases in only 70 hours with less than 10 hours of downtime.

The eB2 upgrade went live on time and under budget company wide after 11 weeks of intense custom development and testing. Internal Pentair Resources handled the overall project management, training and test plans, having over 50 project team members involved in the project, while PICS assisted with all technical and development efforts. Concurrently, Pentair implemented Progress' Fathom High Availability Replication to have hot standbys of over 120gb of active databases.
